A milling cutter is a type of tool used for milling, suitable for processing various materials such as metals, plastics, and hard alloys. The milling cutter process generally includes material selection, machining, heat treatment, surface treatment, and other steps.
The process flow is as follows:
1. Material selection
Choose high-quality high-speed steel materials, such as M42 high-speed steel. This material has high hardness, high strength, and good thermal stability, making it suitable for high-speed milling and cutting.
2. Processing
Using CNC machining centers for milling processing. According to the design parameters of the milling cutter, cut the overall defective material into appropriate sizes, and then perform processes such as rough milling, precision milling, and grinding.
3. Heat treatment
After milling, the milling cutter needs to undergo heat treatment to improve hardness and strength, and increase its service life.
4. Surface treatment
Sandblasting the surface of the milling cutter to meet the required surface finish, and oil sealing treatment to prevent rusting of the tool.
