W1: The width of the front end of the cutting tool, commonly used tool holder diameters include É 3.175, É 4, É 6; If the thickness of the cutting material is less than 10mm for small characters, when using a cutting tool with a diameter of less than 3.175 to cut characters, deformation may occur. Sometimes, a variable shank tool with a diameter of less than 3.175 to a front end of less than 2 or 1.5 is also used for cutting.
H1: Blade length. The thickness of the cutting material should be lower than its blade length. Generally, H1 is divided into the following types based on the thickness of the material (2mm more than the cutting material for easier chip removal).
12mm: Cut materials of 10mm and below
17mm: Cut 15mm material
22mm: Cut 20mm material (PVC is commonly used with a diameter of 3.175; acrylic is used with a diameter of 4)
Carvable materials: PVC board, organic glass, wooden board, etc.
Cutting materials: PVC board, organic glass, wooden board, etc.
Principle of using a knife: It is not recommended to use a 22mm cutting tool to cut materials of 10mm and below, as it may cause the knife to break; When there is no 22mm cutting tool and 20mm material needs to be cut, a temporary 17mm cutting tool can be used to achieve layered cutting.
