Tipped tooth milling cutter is a special tool for milling the workpiece forming surface. Its blade shape is calculated according to the profile design of the workpiece. It is widely used because of its high productivity and the interchangeability of shape and size of the workpiece. Forming cutter by tooth shape can be divided into two kinds of shovel teeth and sharp teeth.
1. Sharpening Mills: Sharpening Sharpening Mills have a large number of teeth with a reasonable relief angle so that they are cutting lightly and smoothly, with good machined surfaces and long milling life. However, sharp-shaped cutter need to rely on a dedicated tool or in the NC tool grinder to regain the back, sharpening process complex. Therefore, the simple blade-shaped milling cutter is generally made into a pointed shape.
2. Tipped tooth milling cutter: The back of the tooth is formed by radial shoveling so that it has the shaped blade relief angle. The knife along the rake face after re-grinding to ensure the same blade, it is generally used in the production of shovel tooth structure, only in mass production before the use of tine structure.
